Job Summary

SafeHouse Outreach is seeking a dependable and compassionate Impact Coordinator to help oversee our evening outreach initiatives. In this part-time role, you will coordinate nightly events that serve meals to individuals experiencing homelessness while fostering meaningful connections between compassionate volunteers and our guests who are experiencing homelessness. The Impact Coordinator plays a key role in addressing relational poverty by building an environment of dignity, trust, and hope. You will help lead volunteer groups and mission teams, speak to and guide volunteers, assist in outreach program planning, and uphold SafeHouse Outreach’s vision of helping to restore lives through faith, love, and compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and help manage nightly meal service operations

• Support occasional Saturday events and community activities

• Help educate volunteers

• Assist in managing volunteer scheduling and engagement

• Create welcoming, dignified environments during meal services

• Utilize computer systems for volunteer management and communication

• Develop strategies to foster meaningful relationships between volunteers and community members

Qualifications

• Dependable, reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to SafeHouse Outreach’s mission

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and the ability to pivot as needed

• Desire to work in a Christian ministry environment

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency with digital tools and volunteer management systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds

• Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor settings

Additional Information

• : Assist in planning and executing outreach programming and special initiatives (such as community dinners, city walks, and seasonal events) that further SafeHouse Outreach’s mission.

• : Work with the volunteer coordination team to schedule volunteers, help with volunteer orientations/training, and ensure adequate volunteer coverage for nightly events.

• : Participate in and support occasional Saturday events (e.g. special outreach events, city walks, and volunteer orientation sessions) as needed, helping with setup, coordination, and volunteer guidance.

• : Act as an ambassador of SafeHouse Outreach’s vision and values. Foster an environment of dignity and respect, and contribute ideas and feedback to continuously improve the outreach program and strengthen community trust.

Work Schedule (Part-Time)

• : Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (approximately 20 hours per week). This evening shift covers our nightly outreach dinner programs.

• : Must be available for occasional Saturdays to assist with special events, city outreach walks, or volunteer orientation sessions (scheduled as needed with advance notice).
