Who we want: Communities In Schools is hiring a Sr. Director of Training & Education who will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering impactful training programs for both internal staff and external community partners. Grounded in educational best practices, this role ensures the implementation of foundational agency training modalities such as Developmental Relationships, Trauma-Informed Practices, ACE Interface, and Restorative Practices. A key function of this role includes recruiting, cultivating, and coordinating a network of communitywide partnerships to co-deliver high-quality training to diverse audiences. The senior director will build and sustain an infrastructure for a comprehensive training ecosystem that consistently delivers relevant, engaging, and research-based content. Responsibilities include leading Train-the-Trainer (TOT) modules, creating a Trainer Competencies Rubric, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to assess and meet emerging training needs. This role will also oversee the tracking, evaluation, and continuous improvement of training offerings to ensure alignment with CIS Core Values and broader organizational mission. What we offer: CIS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The starting salary range for this position is $5,833.34 - $7,791.67/mo. Salaries are determined by qualifications and relevant experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and midpoint depending on experience and in alignment with internal equity. Some of our benefits: Generous time off includes 4+ weeks of paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation time Three (3) paid personal days Twelve (12) paid sick leave days CIS pays for 100% of the employee premium for the base medical insurance plan and we provide subsidy to support coverage for spouse/domestic partner and children Dental and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options Professional development 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match Employee Assistance Program (EAP) We offer an inclusive environment where staff are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work every day What you'll bring: Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work required 3 years of progressively responsible experience in social work required 2 years of experience at the director level preferred Three years of related experience Knowledge of trauma informed practices Ability to engage in professional development on topics of positive relationships and mental health Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities Experience with at-risk populations and cross-cultural environments Ability to set priorities and work with minimal supervision Ability to articulate program goals in a public setting A willingness to follow the philosophy of CIS and operate as a team player Knowledge of adult learning principles and ability to deliver engaging and clear staff professional development and training Special knowledge/skills and experience in Social and Emotional Learning in accordance with the CASEL model in teaching practices What you’ll do: External Training Coordination Design, develop and lead training for external participants and volunteers Oversee the CISCT trainings are up to date and relevant to agency and community demands Market available training opportunities to external partners and provide necessary information Market available trainings to districts and community partners Coordinate with Communications on social media posts and updating the CISCT events calendar Attend outreach events to promote trainings Coordinate collaborative training efforts with external partners Articulate program information and goals in meetings and presentations to school staff and partners   Internal Training Coordination Coordinate with various Executive Leaders and the Chief Executive Officer to map out training plan of required and optional trainings for all CISCT staff Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultations with key stakeholders Schedule trainers for required and optional trainings Oversee regular staff development events for direct service CISCT employees Select and manage training resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop a list of recommended trainings Support internal departments in creating onboarding training plans for new staff roles Market available training opportunities to employees and provide necessary information   Project Management Oversee CISCT Direct Service Professional Learning and Training Calendar Supervise the learning and development process of Direct Service Staff and ensure program implementation meets grant and agency goals Partner with various consultants and agencies to adopt resources and training materials Coordinate meetings, gather feedback, and provide guidance with trainers and trainees Provide ongoing evaluation and input on program effectiveness Document and share progress towards meeting any grant-related objectives and goals & ensure the completion of required programmatic reports Administrative Track and compile collected data Maintain up to date curriculum database and training records Manage timecard Attend all meetings and trainings as required Plan appropriate expenditures and maintain budgets Inventory education and training materials Participate in relevant professional development activities to increase knowledge and training skills Maintain required Continuing Education Provider status Perform related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
