Position Overview: The Assistant Director for Kids Ministry will support the spiritual, educational, and social development of children within the church community. Working closely with the Director of Kids Ministry, this role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate programs, coordinating with volunteers, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support and Lead Preschool Wednesday Morning Chapel rotating with other team members and clergy to perform dance moves to songs, telling Bible stories, and editing lessons for the weekly event.

• Assist with planning and executing all major Faith moments and events, such as VBS/VBX, retreat, Third Grade Bible presentation, and major Holiday celebrations with the larger Kids team.

• Rotate with other staff members to serve as a Kids Worship Leader and Large Group leader on Sunday Mornings.

• Help recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for Sunday Morning Nursery.

• Attend annual kids' retreat weekend to GA mountains.

• Sub for Kids Director at recurring meetings as needed due to schedule conflicts.

• Maintain relationships with local elementary schools and mission groups to create positive brand recognition and partnerships.

• Foster an atmosphere of love, respect, and spiritual growth among children and staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

• Strong Christian faith and alignment with the church's religious values and mission.

• Proficient with technology, including Google Suite (Sheets, Docs and Drive), Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), Meta Business Suite and Canva

• Strong knowledge of child development; ability to present to young kids and maintain the attention of groups of children; enjoyment of serving with kids required.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage resources effectively.

Physical Demands
• Be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to be at eye level with children.

Hours:
• Hours: This is a full-time (40 hours) in-office role with most hours being served at the church. Sundays (8:30am-12:30pm) and Wednesdays (8:30-10:30) are required with remaining office hours being determined to a negotiable schedule upon hiring.
