Job Description
The Children's Center for Hope and Healing's mission is to restore dignity, trust and hope to individuals and families traumatized by child sexual abuse through accessible and effective therapy, advocacy, and education. Our vision is a safe community in which all thrive, free from sexual abuse.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
- Successful executive management and leadership experience (4-5 years).
- Strong background in the human services sector with a preference in counseling and/or child abuse therapy.
- Effective internal and external communication skills, including some marketing and public relations experience.
- Successful fundraising and/or business development and sales experience, including grant writing and management.
- Good relationship and community-building skills, including experience in working with diverse communities.
- Demonstrated human resource recruitment and development skills, including experience working with a non-profit Board of Directors.
- Effective administrative and office management experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong visionary and entrepreneurial skills.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Executive Director shall be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan, policy and procedures for The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing as established and approved by the Board of Directors. Following are areas of responsibility.
- Partner with the Administrative Coordinator and Director of Development in essential internal leadership activities (human resources, administration, and organizational planning).
- Partner with Administrative Coordinator and Director of Development to identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities.
- Develop thought leadership around specific topics/emerging practice areas.
- Share in knowledge dissemination, reporting, and communications.
- Hire staff management team, and oversee their staff hiring.
- Oversee management of staff, delegating appropriately to Directors.
- Conduct staff meetings, appreciation luncheons, etc.
- Evaluate staffing needs and recruit, supervise and develop necessary staff to meet organizational needs.
- Mentoring, coaching; visible, approachable sounding board/resource.
- Develop policies and procedures manual.
- Oversee and manage the Clinical Director.
- Manage Programs to meet desired outcomes.
- Oversee daily programs of the CCHH, delegating to the Clinical Director.
- Implement new program policies and procedures.
- Propose new programs under the guidelines of the CCHH’s mission.
- Implement The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing’s strategic plan and report to the Board on implementation progress.
- Oversee management of funds according to the budget.
- Review information sent to CPA for monthly financial reports. Review reports received from CPA.
- Respond to inquiries from the CPA, along with the Director of Administrative Services.
- Work with the Administrative Coordinator to prepare the Annual budget, along with the Treasurer, for Board approval. Attend Board Finance Committee meetings.
- Work with CPA in the completion of annual audit and implement recommendations from accountants.
- Working with Director of Development to create The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing’s fundraising plans and coordinate its fundraising staff and efforts.
- Oversee and aid in grant writing and administration, including Federal grants.
- Involve the community in the support of the CCHH through: Grants, Assist the Director of Development with Fundraising events, Tours of CCHH; Meetings with potential and present supporters of CCHH ; Correspondence with supporters – updates on projects; Preparation of reports for foundations regarding the expenditure of funds; Thank you letters to corporations, groups and supporters; and Conductspeaking engagements.
- Make recommendations for facilities.
- Work with the Director of Development and Board to develop and implement marketing and public relations plans.
- Participate in critical forums, tasks forces, and ad hoc community initiatives related to Children’s Center for Hope and Healing’s mission. Also, represent Children’s Center for Hope and Healing in industry-group conferences, professional associations, and other public venues.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including critical foundations, and other supporters of Children’s Center for Hope and Healing’s mission, goals and programs.
- Participate in advocacy efforts and activities.
- Regular communication with Board President regarding matters in all areas pertaining to The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing and with Board members, seeking to secure their active involvement in the CCHH.
- Along with Board President, prepare Board meeting agendas and coordinate the preparation and distribution of Board meeting minutes.
- Attend Board meetings and give such reports as President requests.
- Assist in Board recruitment and development efforts.
$75,000-$80,000 plus benefits - 140 hour of PTO for the first 5 years then 180 hours per year, 10 paid holidays and two weeks off during holidays, 401k contribution, $250 per year for continuing education and free supervision for licensure.
