Job Title:     Housing Stability Court Case Manager Category:     Prevention Service Weekly Hours:    37.50 Purpose:   To provide comprehensive case management to participants in the Housing Stability Court Program with the goal of interrupting and preventing the cycle of eviction.  To serve as liaison to the Cobb County Magistrate Courts, landlords and service providers for the purposes of ensuring compliance with program requirements. Major Duties: Provides case management to assigned program participants. Assess participants referred to the Center for Family Resources by the Cobb County Magistrate Courts to ensure they meet the organization’s eligibility criteria for the Housing Stability Court Program. Assists clients in setting goals, identifying, and accessing services needed to reach the goals within the allotted program timeline. Monitors progress of participants by meeting as deemed by program guidelines to ensure continued eligibility and success. Maintains case files with proper documentation and in appropriate format/order. Coordinates and monitors the provision of supportive services. Processes invoices for payment. Maintains programmatic information in the organization’s database. Tracks and prepares participant progress reports regularly. Ensures customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality services. Participates in community activities to achieve increased public understanding and support of the organization and its mission. Act as liaison for the Center for Family Resources between the Cobb County Magistrate Court and landlords. Keep clear and effective lines of communication with the Courts and Landlord customers of progress of participants. Follow up with the Courts and landlords with any violations and recommendations. Is an integral part in maintaining the integrity of the program and ensuring enrolled clients are appropriately vetted and in compliance with program guidelines. Offers constructive feedback regarding the program guidelines and expectations, recommending changes or enhancements as needed. Complies with all legal requirements of the program guidelines and maintains a professional demeanor with stakeholders, partners and clients at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Education:    Bachelor’s degree in related field Experience:  Minimum one year’s experience in case management services. Preferably some experience or familiarity with the eviction process, rental assistance programs or as a legal assistant. Skills:            Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good organizational skills; ability to manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment and work with people from various socio-economic backgrounds. Supervision: Given:           Participants Received:     Supervisor of Prevention Services Contacts: Internal:        Two-way appropriate intercommunication with supervisor to receive necessary information to achieve job responsibilities. External:        Interacts with Cobb County Magistrate Courts and Landlords. Interacts with community to achieve increased public awareness and support of the organization and its mission. Constraints: Physical:       Ability to sit for extended periods; able to bend and lift up to 30 pounds. Mental:         Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; have excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Emotional:    Must have a positive attitude and courteous and professional demeanor; leads by example to promote positive employee morale and efficient operations. Impact:        This position is responsible for the efficient coordination of resources to meet specific client needs.  Unprofessional behavior or ineffective management of clients and/or programs could result in loss of funding for the organization.
