THE ROLE
Atlanta Thrive is hiring 3 passionate and reliable canvassers to support our Get Out to Vote (GOTV) efforts for the 2025 Atlanta Board of Education (ABOE) election. This special campaign aims to increase voter turnout among Atlanta parents and families and ensure education remains a top priority at the ballot box. As a GOTV Field Team Member, you will help empower voters to make informed decisions that directly impact school safety, accountability, and access to quality educational choices for all students in Atlanta Public Schools.

Atlanta Thrive is a parent-led education advocacy organization fighting to ensure every child in Atlanta Public Schools receives a world-class education. We believe in the power of informed, organized parents to bring about equitable, systemic change. This campaign is part of our ongoing commitment to educational justice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Voter Engagement & Outreach (80%)
- Conduct door-to-door, community, and school-based canvassing to educate residents about the upcoming election and the importance of completing their ballots.
- Engage voters through in-person conversations, phone banking, and community events to encourage registration, early voting, and Election Day participation.
- Provide clear, nonpartisan information about the election and the impact of the Atlanta Board of Education on public schools.
Data Collection & Reporting (10%)
- Accurately collect and record voter interactions and engagement information accurately using Atlanta Thrive’s designated data collection platform.
- Submit a weekly report detailing engagement metrics and key voter insights.
Campaign Education & Mobilization (10%)
- Share Atlanta Thrive materials that highlight key election deadlines, ABOE candidates, and local education issues.
- Encourage participation in checking voter registration status, commitment to vote, early voting, and Election Day turnout.
- Promote Atlanta Thrive’s GOTV campaign messaging in all outreach efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong commitment to civic engagement, public education, and community organizing at the grassroots level.
- Excellent communication, people, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and able to work independently and with a team in the field.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
- Willingness to work outdoors and walk for extended periods.
- Prior experience in canvassing, voter/election outreach, sales, or similar work is a plus.
- Must be based in the Metro Atlanta and surrounding area.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday, some Saturdays.
- Must be flexible.
Ability to commute/Reliable transportation is required.
