Job Description
The ideal candidate is an energetic, compassionate leader with a passion for youth development and a gift for building meaningful relationships. Along with strong program logistics skills, this person has experience working with 12–17 year olds, preferably in an urban environment, and is committed to nurturing the whole person—helping youth grow in character, confidence, and leadership within their families, schools, and communities.
The Youth Program serves 6th–12th grade students, engaging them in a wide range of leadership and enrichment experiences, including service learning, social-emotional development, college and career readiness, and educational travel.
As the Youth Program Coordinator, you will:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and engaging programming
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where students feel seen and supported
- Oversee daily program operations, including parent communication, curriculum implementation, and student supervision
- Build positive, consistent relationships with students, families, and community partners
- Collaborate with program staff and contribute to broader Stewart Center initiatives
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Available most Tuesday and Thursday evenings
- Available some Saturdays during the school year
- Available to participate in the Annual Youth Trip in late May
- Must be at least 25 years old to meet insurance and liability requirements for transporting and supervising youth.
- Eligible to pass required background checks.
- Flexible schedule is a plus
