Job Overview
The Family Justice Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization towards achieving its strategic goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management and senior leadership, demonstrating the ability to drive business development and process improvement initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader who can effectively manage teams, negotiate partnerships, and foster an environment of collaboration and innovation.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the budget and ensuring that monthly financials are reported to the Board Treasurer for reporting purposes
- Provide direct supervision to staff and oversee recruitment, training and evaluation processes
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and vision.
- Oversee the financial responsibilities of the agency which includes bank accounts, payroll and benefits, other expenditures and monthly grant requests for reimbursement
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, partners, and community members to enhance business development opportunities
- Maintain contracts and agreements that benefit the organization while maintaining strong partnerships
- Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings and serve as an "Ex-officio" member of the Executive Committee
- Represent the agency at public events, meetings, and conferences to promote its mission.
- Procure additional funding resources
- Other duties as requested by the Board of Directors
- The ED will operate out of both counties, and will split their time accordingly
Experience
- Proven experience in operations management within a leadership role is essential
- Strong background in strategic planning and project management with a track record of successful implementation.
- Excellent communication skills - both writing and speaking
- Experience in senior leadership roles with a focus on team management and development
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of successful partnerships or collaborations
- Experience working with community partners, corporations, foundations, volunteers and boards
- Success in fund development and financial management including annual budgets
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in a related field with at least five years' experience as an Executive Director is preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the field of domestic violence
